About

Hello! I’m Caroline and I have recently launched Pride and Joy Hypnobirthing following a lifelong passion for pregnancy, birth and parenting!

I feel passionately that everyone should have access to accessible and inclusive antenatal education and I’m really excited and privileged to be able to support people as they prepare for a positive birth experience, whatever that looks like for them.  As a result of my own lived experience, I have a particular interest in supporting people from the LGBT+ community and people who have come to parenthood through fertility treatment.   The journey to parenthood is not straightforward for everyone and is a subject very close to my heart. I am therefore particularly sensitive to the complex emotions that can be experienced as you progress through pregnancy following fertility treatment.   

In 2020 I completed my COSCA (Counselling and Psychotherapy in Scotland) course and gained my counselling skills certificate which has further enhanced my skills in connecting with, listening to and supporting people and their experiences. 

I have loved expanding my knowledge and skills into the birth world to support parents to have a positive birth experience. I believe strongly that everyone should have access to Hypnobirthing and the many benefits it brings.  Hypnobirthing is not just for a certain ‘type’ of person or for a certain ‘type’ of birth – its is for everyone and for all types of births whether that’s at home or in hospital, with all the drugs or no drugs at all – that is your choice!  

What I care most about is how you FEEL about your birth, that you are supported to know your rights and have a positive birth experience regardless of what journey your birth might take.

I deliver the full LBC course and the shorter workshop. I have also completed additional training in relation to supporting people through their postnatal planning. I am currently working over zoom so I can reach you wherever you are in the world!
