About

I live in Camberley, Surrey with my Husband and three young children. I became passionate about supporting birthing people and their families after the birth of my second baby, it was only then that I realised just how little I knew about birth the first time round and how with a bit of knowledge and self belief my experience could have been very different.

Second time around I wasn’t taking any chances. Understanding more about the physiological process of birth, plus a simple set of hypnobirthing tools and techniques enabled me to release my fears, allowing my mind and body to stay calm and in control. I went from being anxious and clueless, to excited and completely and utterly empowered. Her birth changed my life.

Since then I’ve gone on to support many families to feel the same way, I am in awe of the physiological and emotional process that women embark upon as they enter motherhood and I aim to support women to find their voice, make the best decisions for their birth and their baby and have the confidence in doing so. For every family I support my joy for this work just continues to grow.

I’ve had the pleasure of training with some wonderful organisations such as, Nurturing Birth Doulas, The Little Birth Company and The Mindful Breastfeeding School and my learning continues with workshops and courses to keep my knowledge of the birth world up to date.

Thank you for taking the time to read about my journey into the birth world, I hope to hear more from you soon.

The Birth of Summer

My contractions started around 6pm, 2 days before my due date, they escalated that night to the point where I had to keep getting up every 10/15 minutes to rock on the birthing ball as the pain was very intense all night and all the next day. I found listening to the birth relaxation recording […]

The Birth of Sonny

As soon as I knew I was pregnant with baby number 2, I was adamant I was going to have a positive birth. My first birth hadn’t been traumatic, however it wasn’t the empowering experience I had heard others talk of. I went into my first birth with a mindset of ‘it can’t be that […]

The Birth of Nia

After a Low PAPP-A result and a small fundal height measurement I was sent for extra scanning during pregnancy. When they did the scans, I was actually told baby was large (above 90th centile). I was offered an induction for large gestational age. This was a far cry from the home birth I had hoped […]
