Hello, I am a practicing midwife for over 20 years and more recently, a hypnobirthing instructor with the Little Birth Company. My journey working with women over the years, has shaped the woman, midwife and mother that I am today. During my professional years it has been a privilege to help women to birth their babies in all sorts of settings, whether it be in a sterile theatre setting, delivery suite, birth centre, pool or home. I firmly believe that having some time for birth preparation is an essential part of the birth journey and when I completed the training with the Little Birth Company I felt that I wished I had known about hypnobirthing far sooner in my midwifery career! Knowledge equals power and by providing a space for you to connect in pregnancy, face your fears, have bespoke instruction whilst being safe, mindful and calm can only positively help the birth of your baby. This will enhance those first precious moments when you experience meeting your baby and enjoying skin to skin for the first time. This is your time and I want to make sure that you feel listened to and heard and no question or worry is too trivial for us to explore and spend time on so that you can confidently be ready for the birth of your baby and have the tools to navigate through this life experience. They say it takes a village to raise a child and I am a firm believer in women having the choice to be part of a safe community. Whether a first time mother, just moved into the area from the city, a rural family or busy mum with your growing brood I look forward to meeting you and helping you to achieve the right birth experience, whatever curved ball comes your way! I am excited to be part of the LBC team with likeminded professionals that can help to empower you in your birth, whatever way it happens. I feel very fortunate to be nestled in Surrey Hills and can provide 121 teaching and guidance in and around the area and am equally happy to provide group sessions.
