Hi, I’m Janine – a qualified midwife, hypnobirthing instructor, and mum of two. I recently moved back to the UK from Australia, I lived there for 9 years but am originally from Dorset! I created Birth and Beyond to offer calm, compassionate, and evidence-based support to women and families during one of life’s biggest transitions.

After working in busy hospital settings, I realised fairly soon I was most passionate about the kind of care that isn’t rushed – that allows for space for connection, confidence-building, and truly personalised preparation. That’s why I now focus on antenatal education that supports both the mind and body, combining my midwifery knowledge with the power of hypnobirthing to help families feel informed, empowered and supported.

My approach is warm, down-to-earth, and all about helping you feel prepared – not just for birth but the beautiful chaos that follows too!
