About

Hi, I’m Sophie! A science believing non hippy hypnobirthing teacher based in Wokingham.

I have 2 children and their births were complete opposites of each other. My first in 2016 I would call traumatic…then I really discovered hypnobirthing and my second birth in 2019 was perfect (for me).

I believe in our bodies and in our minds, and the empowerment that is created when they work together. Giving birth changed me, so I decided to change my world in 2022 and took a counselling course, during which something twigged and I decided I wanted to train to be a hypnobirthing teacher.

My business, A Mother World, was born.

My background is very varied – brass bands in my teenage years (I eventually grew out of the ‘geek’), a degree in Criminology, lots of travelling, living in various places in the UK and abroad. Marketing within finance is my ‘day job’ but my passion lies in helping others and sprinkling kindness like confetti.
